Plus, LandColt Trading will have a few surprises today, as well. More on that later.
Overnight, things were popping in China. Hong Kong shares rallied 1.9% off of solid earnings reports from Sinopec and China Construction Bank. The Nikkei also jumped 1.4%.
Here at home, futures are down slightly (as of 7:45am EST), but we have a ton of data to get through before we have a firm idea of market direction at the open. On deck, we have Durable Goods Orders out at 8:30am EST, and New Homes Sales will be out at 10am EST. Everyone will be anxiously awaiting this figure. Also, Atlanta Fed President Dennis Lockhart will be speaking at 12:00pm EST.
And, I want to give a shout-out to the Little League Baseball Team from San Antonio who put on one awesome performance last night be beating--what many analysts had predicted--the shoe-in for the Championship, California team. If you haven't watched any of these games, you will definitely want to tune-in; exciting would be an understatement.
Check back often today--lots of updates taking place!
