Fed on Deck!

Big week this week, and all eyes will be on the Fed and its decision (scheduled for Wednesday afternoon). Everyone is expecting the Fed to sit tight and not adjust the Fed funds rate. Actually, there's not going to be a lot of drama on the action (or inaction) taken here--it has everything to do with the statement. Stay tuned.

Also this week we receive economic indicators (today), jobless claims (Thursday), existing homes sales (Thursday), Durable Goods/New Home Sales/Michigan Confidence (all Friday).

In overseas action, Japan is on holiday and there was little trading in the other markets.

Hang Seng: -0.7%.
China's Shanghai: +0.2%.
Korean Kospi: -0.3%.

We'll have an analysis on the Dell/Perot deal in a bit.

Talk to you,

Todd M. Schoenberger, Managing Director
